We’re looking for a creative, reliable Social Media Intern to join our founding team and help us build our online presence from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and schedule content for LinkedIn & Instagram (and later, TikTok)
- Write captions, posts, and mini-articles that reflect our brand voice
- Design posts and stories in Canva (or similar tools)
- Track engagement and help shape our digital growth strategy
- Collaborate directly with the CEO and COO on campaigns and ideas
- Manage multiple creative projects and meet deadlines (we move quickly)
Required Tools & Skills
- Canva (non-negotiable)
- LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok (platform knowledge)
- Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Grammarly / Copy.ai (copy support)
- Basic analytics and trend awareness
- Optional: CapCut / Adobe Express (for video edits)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
Education & Requirements
- Completed degree or diploma in Marketing, Media, Communication, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field
- Laptop with good specs, reliable internet, and ability to commute for meetings
- Based in Cape Town
- Comfortable working in a startup — flexible priorities, fast turnarounds, and the occasional “we-need-this-yesterday” request
